Ross Village Ross is an historic Tasmanian town in the Northern Midlands of Tasmania, registered on the National Estate. The town is situated 120kms from Hobart, and 80 kms from Launceston. Withe a population of around 300, Ross provides a tranquil detour and rest spot on the Launceston-Hobart Midland (Heritage) highway. Tasmania is a popular destination for travellers, backpackers, tourists, or business visitors looking for an ecotourism or nature getaway. The temperate climate and pristine wilderness is popular with bushwalkers all year round, but particularly in the summer months when the weather is a little more settled.
